Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
By using Penroll, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Penroll is
Penroll is an AI-assisted document generator for HR teams. We help you produce job descriptions, offer letters, and similar HR documents from a small set of inputs. The output is a draft — not legal advice.
Not a substitute for legal counsel
This is important. Penroll's documents reference jurisdiction-specific employment law where appropriate, but they are AI-generated drafts and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. Before using a document for hiring, employment, termination, or any matter with legal consequences, you should:
- Have it reviewed by qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Verify all legal references, compliance language, and required disclosures.
- Adjust country-specific clauses for your specific situation.
Penroll is not a law firm and does not provide legal services or advice.
Plans and payment
The Free plan includes 3 documents per month. Pro and Team plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Cancel anytime — you keep access until the end of the billing period.
One-off pay-as-you-go documents ($1 each) are non-refundable once the document is generated. Subscription refunds are available within 7 days of the initial charge — email support@penroll.com.
One device per license
Pro and Team licenses are tied to a single device fingerprint. You can switch devices at any time via the Restore flow — switching automatically signs out the previous device. Sharing a single license across multiple users simultaneously is a breach of these terms.
For multi-user setups, see the Team plan or contact sales for Enterprise.
Acceptable use
Don't use Penroll to:
- Generate discriminatory or unlawful hiring content.
- Misrepresent job openings (e.g., publishing roles you have no intention of filling).
- Probe, attack, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Resell or white-label Penroll without written permission (Enterprise plan covers this).
Liability
Penroll is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including any damages arising from your use of generated documents in legal, hiring, or employment contexts.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email (for paid users) and via a notice on the site. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
