The Role

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as the most senior financial authority at Giga Multi AI, leading a team of 50 or more staff and holding full accountability for the company's financial health. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the company's Sydney office.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and long-range financial planning across the business.
Lead, develop, and performance-manage a team of 50+ finance and operations professionals, establishing clear goals, processes, and accountability structures.
Design and maintain rigorous documentation of financial processes, controls, and audit findings to meet regulatory and internal governance standards.
Produce and present timely reporting on key financial metrics — revenue, margins, burn rate, cash flow, and runway — to the executive team and board.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Operations leadership to align financial planning with business priorities and inform strategic decisions.
Identify financial risks and operational inefficiencies, propose evidence-based solutions, and drive implementation through the relevant teams.

Required Qualifications

Minimum ten years of progressive experience in a senior finance role within the technology or software industry, including prior CFO or equivalent executive responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop large, multi-disciplinary finance teams.
Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, management reporting, and statutory compliance under Australian accounting standards (AASB).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance executives and board members.
Proven attention to detail in financial documentation, regulatory filings, and audit processes.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA (Australia) or CA ANZ designation, or internationally recognised equivalent.
Experience operating within a high-growth or venture-backed technology company.
Familiarity with AI-sector commercial models, including SaaS metrics, licensing structures, or platform revenue.
Prior experience navigating M&A, capital raises, or IPO readiness processes.

Compensation & Benefits

A$220,000 gross per year (base salary, before tax), with total remuneration package details discussed at offer stage.
Statutory superannuation contributions in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (currently 11.5% of ordinary time earnings).
Annual leave entitlements in accordance with the National Employment Standards under the Fair Work Act 2009.
On-site role based in Sydney, with access to a collaborative and professionally oriented working environment.
